We would like to give a BIG SHOUT-OUT to our local Gloversville Walmart for their generous donation of 80 backpacks for our scholars. These will be distributed during our Backpack Give Away on August 31 from 11am-2pm at Boulevard Elementary School.
IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM GMS NURSE:
Attention Parents of Incoming 6th Grade Scholars:
It is required that all children entering 6th grade who are 11 years of age or older, receive an immunization containing tetanus toxoids, diphtheria, and acellular pertussis (Tdap). We must receive proof of these immunizations in order for your child to start at GMS in September. Please contact your healthcare provider now so that you can make arrangements to comply with this law.
****Please note that these are new requirements for 6th grade and were not required for 5th grade.****
(If your child has not received a shot recently, he/she is probably not up to date for 6th grade.)
Please be aware that our school district is required by law to exclude from school any students who are not up to date on their immunizations.
