In 2017, the Gloversville Enlarged School District Board of Education voted to reconfigure the district’s elementary schools to a model that includes neighborhood schools and grade-level grouping. Kingsborough was designated a primary school and now serves approximately 340 scholars in pre-kindergarten through grade 2.
The programs at Kingsborough Elementary School are designed to develop scholar confidence as learners, instill a love of learning and develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed for scholars to communicate effectively, understand the world around them and participate effectively in a democratic society. Students also learn character education through Positive Behavioral Intervention and Support (PBIS) where three core district-wide expectations (“Be Respectful”, “Be Responsible” and "Be Safe”) are taught, practiced, and modeled in all areas of school life.
Kingsborough Elementary School welcomes parents to share their interest and skills with the school community by joining the Elementary Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), and volunteering in the classroom and during school events. Interested parents are asked to contact the school principal or their child’s classroom teacher.
SCHOOL HOURS
The school building opens at 8:35 a.m. for Second Grade students, 8:45 for Kindergarten and 1st Grade students and 8:55am for PreK students. All students are provided with breakfast upon their arrival. Students arriving after 9:05am will need to sign in through the Main Office.

"I am excited to be the principal of Kingsborough Elementary School! Before working at Kingsborough I had a great experience working at Boulevard Elementary as the Assistant Principal. Prior to becoming an administrator, I taught 4th and 5th grade in Amsterdam and in North Carolina.
I have three amazing children and a dog that keeps me very busy. My daughter is a dancer and my boys play baseball and snowboard. When I have some down time, I try to be outside as much as possible. One thing I love about having the four seasons is that there is always something different to do outside!
In my opinion, there is no better place in the world to be than a school! At Kingsborough, we are committed to providing the scholars we serve a well-rounded academic and social education. "
