Behavioral Skills Training Program for Parents of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder
The Center for Autism and Related Disabilities at the University at Albany is now offering a virtual group-format parent training program at no cost for parents of children with autism spectrum disorder. The goal of the program is to help parents learn behavioral techniques to reduce their children’s challenging behaviors in the home, such as tantrums, noncompliance, difficulties with transitions, and aggression. The techniques that will be taught are based on an evidence-based intervention developed by the RUBI Autism Network (Bearss et al., 2018). Because the program will be offered virtually, you can participate from the convenience of your own home!
