FACILITIES
The Gloversville Enlarged School District encompasses 88.83 square miles within its enrollment boundaries.
In its current configuration, the GESD operates three elementary school buildings: two serve Pre-K through grade 2, and the third serves grades 3-5 scholars; a middle school that serves grades 6 through 8; and a high school building, serving grades 9 through 12.
Facilities & Operations Department
The Facilities & Operations Department at Gloversville Enlarged School District is responsible for the management and maintenance of district buildings and all fields and building grounds.
The physical plant is located in the GESD Transportation Facility off Route 29A. The department maintains five school buildings and the surrounding grounds, including the athletic fields. It also houses the district’s computer system. Building usage/field usage request forms are located in this office.
The department consists of more than 40 employees including a director, secretary, building maintenance supervisor, trades supervisor, grounds supervisor, electrician, carpenter, painter, groundsmen, skilled mechanics, custodians, and cleaners.
